I signed up for a resume builder to use because it was only $2.95 and seemed worthwhile. I did not read anything about signing up for a monthly program. Why would anyone need a monthly program for 1 resume? After reviewing my bank acount I discovered that the company...

IT'S A SCAM

They promote their site as a one-off charge to get a resume template. The next thing you know, you're getting charged a monthly fee of $25 without any emails or notifications about a "subscription". They also use tricks like changing the description of charges a couple of months. For a few weeks it'll be charged as CV-resume, sometimes OPOS-resume and other times as BLD-resume-all in the hopes of making sure you never notice!T

User's recommendation: Stay Away; not worth it.

They removed money out of my account without my permission...

After using $1.95 and i cancelled it.Perfect resume enrolled me in their monthly subscription at $ 25.95.. when I realized that I had been enrolled it was immediately cancelled...Perfect Resume continued to charge monthly fees....They are a fraudulent operation. Even after contacting perfect Resume about the continuing charges I received no satisfaction....Was even told by one employee that I would be reimbursed....after waiting over a month with no credit contacted Perfect resume again and was told that that employee was no longer employed and there would be no refund...THIEVES .....

User's recommendation: Stay away rom these unscrupulous and unethical people.....it is a fraudulent operation....if I could rate a ZERO OR LOWER I WOULD!!!!!!!

Feel robbed by my perfect scam

I am a newly graduate registered nurse and needed a resume to apply for a job. I get searched online and found this company after an hour of work when finished my resume it appears I have to pay around $2 for 15 day trial which I can cancel at anytime. I thought that ok lets try and paid them. Furthermore, I have cancelled the subscription after 1 week, but I did not receive any confirmation, but I know I cancelled it. After finishing the trial period, one morning 18/2/21 I received a notification from the bank that $34.95 has been spent on this resume service. I checked my perfect resume account then I notice the subscription is still on, and again I cancelled it. This company then send me a confirmation of cancellation this time. I put a dispute with my bank for this company because the money is still pending transaction. How gullible we people are! Can we trust no one in the world these days. My trust on the human is diminishing day by day.

User's recommendation: Please Please Do Not Fool Yourself, Stay Away From This Company.

Ridiculous obstacles to cancellation

This site uses employs questionable business practices to extract money from customers. Once you create an account, they make it very difficult to cancel the account. I created an account in May when I was furloughed. By July, I was re-employed and closed all of my accounts for all resume services on 6/13. Due to unforseen chaos, upheaval, and personal tragedy, I only recently noticed that I was still being charged for this service. So I logged in and attempted to once again cancel the account. This time I was unable as the button which confirmed the cancellation was disabled. So I wrote customer service and explained the situation, requesting a refund of all charges since 6/13. The account was cancelled and I was refunded the month of Nov. So I wrote yet again and was refunded only 2 additional months and was told that was all they could do. These deliberate obstacles to cancellation shouldn't be allowed, and given the times, feels especially predatory. I'll be warning everyone I know to steer clear.

User's recommendation: Stay clear.

Horrible scam & rude customer service

I lost my job in August due to covid and found this website online when I was looking for a resume template. I made a whole resume and spent a lot of time on it just to find out that you had to pay like $2 to actually download your resume to your computer. So I paid it. Today, I get a text from my bank saying there was a transaction outside the US which is definitely weird for me so I logged in and saw a $24.95 charge for this service. So immediately I call them to cancel whatever this is and get a refund for the 2 months they apparently charged me for. And the guy who answered sounded like a sketchy call salesman right from the beginning. Asked me a bunch of questions trying to verify my email and why I went on the service in the first place and if my situation had to due with covid. Then puts me on hold and comes back with a whole spiel like hes trying to help and hes the best thing to ever happen to me by giving me two choices. 1) They would refund the $24.95 from today only (not the one from 9/8/20) and cancel my account OR 2) they would give me next month services free because I still didn't get a job using their service and then my auto pay would go to $5 or something going forward. I was now getting super frustrated because this crazy man was talking a mile a minute saying hes going above and beyond from me. I told him that this was a ridiculous scam, that I had no idea my card was being charged, and that I wanted both months of the $24.95 charge refunded to me immediately or I was going to file fraud with my bank. He got ridiculously mad at me and was yelling saying that if I was going to talk like that he would terminate the call. That I was extremely rude in talking like that because they are a legitimate business that's been in business for 12 years helping people. LOL all because I called it a SCAM which it is. So I regained any composure I could and told him I would take the one refund of $24.95 and cancel. At the end he said it was a pleasure talking to me and that's when I went off on him and told him he should go to *** and I hope hes ashamed of himself. Fast forward to me calling my bank. Since the one charge processed today, I have to wait for it to go completely through. This is supposedly the charge they are refunding me so I am going to be watching for that. If it doesn't come through, my bank said I can file a claim for that since they gave me a cancellation confirmation email and a refund email. But here's the kicker, the monthly charges come through from 'different' named companies! The original charge for $1.95 and the $24.95 from September come from BLD-Resume and the one today came from MyPerfectResume. The lady at the bank said they do this to make sure their charge continues to go through. Like if I had noticed BLD-Resume took money out in September and I blocked it, their charge would have still gone through today because its under a different name!!! So yeah, not sure if I am actually going to get any money back but believe me I am going to fight it. I could not believe someone in a 'customer service role' would talk to me that way because I called them a scam, which they are. It was like he was purposely trying to intimidate me and then act like he was handing me the whole world. Absolutely absurd. 0/10 would not recommend. Run from this company company anythingpay this company anything

User's recommendation: Do not pay this company anything! Ditch the resume you worked on and open a Word doc, it's not worth it.

Got me soooo good. Ouch!!!

I got scammed. Got me sooo good. Paid 3 dollars after I thought I was creating a free resume. Didn't want to lose 4 hours of work, so damn right I paid 3 bucks. Received an email about my purchase and yeah, I missed the small print on the very bottom about my new monthly subscription. Why not just ask people if they want a subscription??? Seems more straight forward... but I guess if you count on people having lives and not reading the small print on the very bottom of your email, well, that's easy money. Also make it easy long term money and never send them a receipt. Life goes on. Hope you read this before you make the same mistake.

User's recommendation: Don’t touch this scam.....
